Do mushroom grow kits actually work?
Yes. A living kit arrives already colonized — the hard part is done — so it reliably fruits on your counter in about two weeks with just a twice-daily mist. If yours doesn't fruit, our Grow Guarantee replaces it free.
How long do oyster mushrooms take to grow?
Blue oyster kits show pinhead mushrooms within 5–7 days and are ready to harvest in about 10–14 days at 70–75°F, misting twice a day. Most kits then fruit two or three more times.
How long does lion's mane take to grow?
Lion's mane forms white pom-poms in 7–10 days and is ready to harvest in roughly 12–16 days. Harvest when the icicle spines are ½–¾ inch long and still bright white.
How many times can I reuse a mushroom kit?
Most kits fruit two to three flushes. After harvesting a cluster, keep misting and a second flush usually follows within a week or two before the block is spent.

How do I take care of my mushroom kit?
Cut an X in the bag, mist twice a day, and keep it out of direct sun at 70–75°F. Every kit includes a step-by-step care card, and we're a text away if you get stuck.
Do you host mushroom classes or events in Portland?
